Brainy Skills Sentence Scramble is a game focusing on semantics and syntax to help children and young adults learn how to formulate correct and complete sentences.  This app was created, developed and written by a certified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with many years of hands on experience in a variety of settings from daycares, schools, and preschools with a large variety of both younger and older school age children, both typically developing and special needs children.  There is a need to combine learning with fun in order to improve and increase motivation when grasping concepts such as complete sentences and correct sentence structure.  Students can play on their own or with a caretaker, assistant, or therapist to guide them along and practice basic oral reading skills, sentence combination skills, and reading comprehension.  This app is an excellent teaching tool for a variety of ages of children with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, developmental delays, remedial review, and all language and speech delays.  After seeing the difficulties and struggles with answering a variety of questions, the great need for a unique, motivating, fun and exciting way to help improve these skills was obvious.  By unscrambling the words and putting them into correct word order, this format creates a challenging yet fun interactive framework to help with sentence structure.  This app can also be used for practicing reading, and overall comprehension skills for middle and high school special needs students and those looking for remedial practice.  First read sentences as they are written, then find the correct sentence from the multiple choice options, while working your way up the scoreboard for points.  Adaptable as needed by parents, teachers, and therapists for a variety of skill levels, and words may be read/spelled aloud if needed.  It’s that easy! Motivate your child to beat their score each time they play and get to the highest score.  There are also Brainy Bonuses that at times are tricky to teach and review the core material.  The bonuses differ in complexity, and offer an opportunity to earn more points.
