The series is funded by Te Māngai Pāho, the Government Māori language agency operating in the broadcast sector.  The game is part of a series of mobile apps designed to introduce te Reo Māori words and phrases to pre-schoolers in a fun and playful way.  We partner with publishers and other content owners to bring content to life in new digital formats that deepen your child’s engagement and understanding.  Te Māngai Pāho's purpose is to promote Māori language and Māori culture.  The rest of the series will include puzzles about roads, pets, going shopping and packing for kohanga reo.  The aim is to bring the sound and meaning of te Reo Māori into everyday classroom and home activities.  This initiative forms part of a strategy to explore opportunities offered by new media to reach diverse audiences.  KIWA is the world’s leading production house for experiential digital books.
