The Hearing Test examines how well you can detect words with background noise. The test consists of 9 test items per ear and determines how well you can understand speech in background noise. This is based on the knowledge that individuals with hearing loss have greater difficulty understanding speech in noisy environments, such as restaurants or railway stations. However, the results of the Hearing Test are not intended to replace an official diagnosis. Our Hearing Test app, which has been developed by our audiology experts, allows you to test your hearing quickly and easily. During the test, you will hear imaginary words with fluctuating background noise. By comparing your results with the average score of other listeners, the program determines your level of hearing. This test is completely independent of language, so you can use it reliably no matter what language you’re most comfortable with. Unlike similar hearing tests, the volume setting is not crucial.
