cette application UOS gives you the UK’s most trusted detailed access information for all campuses in The University of Sheffield.  Each cette application app is bespoke to the area, campus or facilities that have access guides surveyed by DisabledGo professionals.  The world’s first integration between mobile access information and maps, you can now locate and get directions directly to your chosen accessible place on campus.  Using DisabledGo’s unique access symbols you can now personalise your cette application app to show access information relevant to you.  Instant detailed access information to places to visit across the University campus at the touch of a button.  Our success in achieving our aims was recognised in the 2014-2015 Times Higher Education Student Experience Awards where, as well as taking top spot overall, the University also came first for its high quality facilities, a good social life, good accommodation and our Students’ Union.  High colour contrasts, big buttons, dynamic text and VoiceOver compatibility makes our access information available to those visually impaired.  cette application has a built in emergency locator that can send an SMS or email to your chosen contact along with your current GPS location.  Provided by DisabledGo in partnership with The University of Sheffield, you now are never far from finding the best route across campus.  Ensuring that our older buildings are fully accessible is more of a challenge, but we continue to seek out innovative ways of re-organising and re-developing our older stock to ensure that it meets today’s standards.  The cette application app is provided exclusively by DisabledGo in partnership with it’s clients.  With more than 25,000 students and 7,000 staff, we’re very aware of the links between excellence in the built environment and academic excellence, and these links are at the heart of our ongoing programme to grow, develop and effectively manage our estate.  We’ve tried our best to make the cette application app as accessible as possible.  The app will give you distance and directions to the closest accessible toilet and a detailed description and photo’s of the toilets facilities.  Never worry about finding an accessible toilet on campus again with “Find A Loo”.  The information in each guide is based on individual surveys carried out by a highly trained surveyor.  We are committed to meeting the expectations and needs of everyone using our buildings, amenities and services, identifying and removing any barriers to building use.  All of the venues featured on this App and on have been visited and assessed in person by a trained DisabledGo surveyor.  DisabledGo was founded in 2000 by wheelchair user Gregory Burke and is a not for profit disability organisation.  It produces factual and objective guides to each venue enabling you to make a choice about where to go on campus and how to get there.  The information is updated each year, with any changes being revisited and reassessed.  Accessibility is at the heart of all our new building development.
