Ten restaurants in all: Italian, Japanese, Mexican, American, Chinese, French, Indian, Ethiopian, Polish and Funky Fusion - filled with spaghetti, bento boxes, kielbasas, injeras, basmati rice, shrimp shao mai, tostadas, tuna sushi, falafel, bowls of pozole, hummus, pancakes, waffles, and much more! Children can decorate their restaurants with hundreds of fun furnishings.  Why is the approach of Multiply Pizza Pie valuable for math learners? It's critical for children to master math facts with fluency.  Multiply Pizza Pie is an extremely engaging game that helps children develop fluency and master their math facts.  A tutorial teaches children multiples strategies - how to use counting by 2s to figure out 3s facts, how to use counting to 5s to figure out 6s and 4s, and how to use counting by 10s to figure out 9s.  But it does so in a way that builds children's understanding of what these facts mean (number sense) and without the anxiety associated with timings.  Student practice is tracked, and a report can be emailed to a teacher or parent to document which math facts students have practiced.  But we also know that rote memorization of facts and the stress of timed testing is unhelpful for many children.  And along with understanding, students become fluent in their multiplication facts.  Children may set the app to any practice number in order to try out these strategies.  Progress can be tracked over time, as reports are available for the day, week, month or overall.
