The Beat Station is a rhythm machine for practicing guitar, bass, keyboard, or any type of instrument, and also brings to production and live performance the ease of not requiring live drums and a drummer.  When you hear the rhythm patterns and start to control them live, it is truly like a versatile drummer playing along with you.  You can connect rhythm patterns to create a complete drum track that's appropriate for your own song, and play it automatically.  Each rhythm style includes 12 rhythm patterns: intro, verse, chorus, six fills, two transitions, and outro.  You can control verse, chorus, transition, fill, intro, and outro sections using different modes of operation.  You can use the Pedal mode to play rhythm patterns with four footswitches.  Easily play rhythm patterns with loop pads.  You can switch rhythm patterns in real-time as needed during your performance.  Connect Bluetooth MIDI Pedalboard lets you control all sections hands-free.  By using a Bluetooth MIDI pedalboard, you can perform operational tasks without having to take your hands off of your instrument.  Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.  You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your account settings on the App Store after purchase.  Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase.  Subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

    Good but not good enough...

    This is an excellent implementation of a drum app for live use with a 4 pedal foot switch. However, it is let down by poor kit sounds in the basic free version and there doesn’t appear to be a way to build a custom kit or mix the kit pieces or modify patterns. In principle I’m not prepared to ‘rent’ this app as I think it is overpriced for a poorly featured app, also I can find no way to audition the kits from the full version or any listing of the additional patterns available, so I’d be committing to a full version ‘pay as you go Contract blind! A one off purchase price sub $20 would be more realistic in comparison with other drum apps, with in-app purchases for kits and pattern sets at around $2.99 - provided better info is made available so that you can make an educated choice. A shame - at face value it’s what I’m looking for but too many negatives and unknowns for my liking.
