A little dragon friend helps brings the app to life by reacting to your child's answers (if answers are correct the dragon gets happy and excited, if incorrect the dragon gets a little sad but then offers advice), so bringing fun and help to encourage your child to persevere. Like the other Dragon Maths Apps, this App keeps track of the child's progress and parents can review the results with their child to identify and discuss any weak areas. All the exercises in this App have been designed to be attempted at a steady pace without timers or other pressures, this is to help your child appreciate there is no need to panic in an exam. The App has been designed to help the child develop confidence in answering questions similar to those in the KS1 exam. Your child will get to choose their dragon, and watch it hatch with the aim of creating an attachment to the dragon so your child may be more motivated when practising exam level problems. An endless amount of practice will allow your child to develop at their own speed, building their knowledge and confidence with each of the types of question they can expect to see in the exam. This App offers 9 key topics from the KS1 Maths Reasoning syllabus and allows the child to practise again and again. The topics covered are those from the UK Government's syllabus which includes: reading measurements, comparing measurements, money problems, pictoral addition, time telling & time problems, commutative laws, tables & charts, and number sentences. • A friendly baby dragon is there to help your child through these tests. It has been prepared in conjunction with a separate KS1 Maths Arithmetic App to help prepare children for their KS1 maths exams which can be daunting for children and parents alike. The realistic option of skipping a question is also included and if the child skips a question they are given the correct answer. • Progress Tracking – monitor how your child is getting along in each topic. • Nine topics covering the KS1 Maths Reasoning syllabus. This Maths App addresses KS1 Reasoning. • Content specifically designed from the UK KS1 curriculum.
