KQ Dixie is a 6-Operator FM synthesizer that is modeled on the synthesizer which appeared on the 1980s. Supports DX7 System Exclusive Messages (SysEx) and syx files. The app can load Anamark/Scala tuning files (TUN/SCL). FM brings rich and brilliant sounds which are impossible to create with analog one. If you encounter a bug, please send me your Dixie Performance file. Multiple-Out is supported when you use "KQ Dixie Multi". The synthesizer gained much popularity in the 1980s. This app lets you make sounds freely with 156 voice parameters. Almost all parameters but multi-timbral, filter, and delay are compatible with DX7. Place Zip files at the app folder instead of extracting them. Supports Zip files. Supports micro tuning. Machine translated text is included in this application and description. You can manage the hardware DX7 when it is connected with external MIDI cables. FM synthesizers make sounds with Frequency Modulation. It makes very complex waves with simple modulations. Get KQ Dixie 26 instead. Audio Unit v3 compatible. You may be able to find a lot of patches on the internet. I have no business relations with Yamaha and Korg. Sans concurrence...

Application exemplaire bien que perfectible au niveau de l'interface (l'esthétique est à revoir). Un des meilleurs synthés iOS avec iVCS. Peut lire tous les presets DX7 d'origine aussi bien que ceux de FM7 de Native. Les possibilités sont inépuisables.

All you need is patience and a good multi effects pedal!

The best fm app and plugin I’ve ever used. It makes learning fm a lot easier and cheaper. It seems faster than any hardware fm synth as there isn’t much menu diving. The layout of the interface is very user friendly, logical & intuitive. It’s very easy to edit sounds and create new patches. Sysex files are easy to load and save. In multitimbre mode you can have several patches layered over one another or you can choose to easily assign patches to individual midi channels and trigger them with a midi keyboard or controller for endless fun. I haven’t had any stability issues either, so far so good. I find the user manual a little vague there were a few things I had to figure out myself like having to create a separate Dixie preset(dxpf) to be able to edit patches and create new ones to then copy them to a dx sysex file. Once you get past that then it’s easy to manage patches. Thank you to the developer for all the hard work put into this app, it’s very much appreciated.
