Funics with Phonics! Level 1 has 9 interactive lessons that help new readers get comfortable with the letters, their sounds, and spelling small words like 'cat' and 'dad'.  There are 8 lessons that guide you through the process of learning the letters, sounds, vowels, and word spelling.  'My Sounds' uses pictures to continue with their learning of the alphabet and the sounds the letters make.  This takes the letters and their sounds from memorization to recognition and recall as you transition to reading.  'My Vowels' introduces the 6 vowels and their sounds while matching them to the letters.  'My Letters' is the alphabet without pictures that take you from the basics into really getting comfortable with your letters.  As with the previous lesson you can go back and forth through the letters and try the sounds as many times as you like.  'Race the Teacher' is a fun game where you and I will race around the board and take turns sounding out the letters.  'Match My Sounds' is an auditory drill where I say a sound and you find the letter that matches that sound.  You can record yourself saying the letters and then hear how you sound.  Based on a combination of teaching techniques combined with the Orton-Gillingham method, Colleen Allan has created a practical method of helping students to discover the joy of reading.  You can navigate through the letters at your pace.  'ABC Sing-Along' uses this simple but effective way to learn the alphabet through music and a sing-along.  'Letter Mix-up' is the alphabet in random order.  Use the shuffle button to change the order whenever you want.  'My Words' completes the set of lessons for level 1 with the spelling of simple 3 letter words.  The words are randomly selected and then you write them on the chalk board.  'BAM!' is a fun fishing game that helps the young reader with word recognition and pronunciation and is really fun to play.  I look forward to seeing how quickly progress.  Funics with Phonics! is complete and contains all 8 lessons and you will receive all upgrades to level 1 as they come out.  I never ask for any information and nothing is transferred over the Internet.  My goal is to help you become the best reader that you can be.
