Most of the apps I’ve tried will suggest ludicrous easy paces (like ludicrously slow), and sometimes even slow target paces. When I generated my first program (for a 10k, but not my first) I immediately felt that this was the right fit. The estimated easy pace was right (maybe they increase it too fast though), but more importantly the paces felt challenging but doable (some, I had done something slightly easier a week or two before, so I knew). I’ve done 4 weeks now, and I was able to hit all the targets, even though now when I see the coming runs I’m no longer confident I can do them. The expected 10k time seems impossible to reach (10k at 5:10/km is their estimate, my current PB - but not in a race - is 5:51), yet I keep thinking if I manage all the previous runs, then they’re probably right about this as well?
Great running app
app itself works without a problem. automatically synchronises with my garmin watch, so i can directly follow intervals from there. you can even add the workouts on your calendar. you can also easily rearrange your runs of the week within the app if you need to and this also updates through different apps without a problem. training programs i have tried so far are also great. suggested paces work well to get the most out of the run for me. it includes warm up and cool down suggestions specific for the type of the run. you can also add strength plan and pilates/yoga sessions to your training plan. they have a good selection of training plans including maintaining fitness or prepping for a specific race options, so you can diversify your training. overall great app and definitely worth the subscription fee!
