Streets of My Town is an award nominated serious game platform built for local not for profit organisations to start using video games in their support for specific target groups.  Every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander group can customise existing stories or submit new stories to be featured on the platform through their local ACCO (Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation).  Biik Bilik features Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stories that are local to your (the player's) area.  The platform was co-designed by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in Dandenong, Australia.  Throughout the game you'll get introduced to local people that live in Dandenong and can support you and connect you to other (real life) locals.  If you identify as Aboriginal and live in Australia we invite you to share your story with us and we can build it into the game.  Biik Bilik is a place where Aboriginal communities can build out their stories and share them with others.  It features Dandenong specific stories but over the coming months more stories will be added and customised to different locations in Australia.  We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and extend that respect to all First Nations people engaging in this game and narratives.  - Nathan, the Youth Worker at Dandenong District Aboriginal Co-Operative Limited.  Engage your community using award-winning game design, gorgeous, hand-painted drawings, and interactive storylines.  - Jenny, the CEO of the Dandenong District Aboriginal Co-Operative Limited.  Biik Bilik was built on the Streets of My Town platform.  We are currently working to expand and localise the game to all areas in Australia.  It's a social impact game service that lets you build your own game.  Streets of My Town is more than a game.  - Empower young people to have their say in local policy development.  We recognise their continuing connection to the land and waters, and thank them for protecting the country, waterways and its ecosystems since time immemorial.  Visit to make a version that suits your area or your specific issues.  Aunty Leah may be isolated throughout the pandemic, but she still plays an important role in Jimmy's life.  We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Lands these games are created for.  - Educate players about issues that are difficult to talk about.  - Change behaviours by simulating situations and practicing responses.  Go to cette application.com.au for more info.
