It is the real fun.  Great concept and interesting game.  This issue could be easily resolved by simply spawning in items slightly left and down from the void instead of right next to it.  This means when you drag another item on top if you are not accurate it will be deleted in the void.  Mix the elements with each other to discover more.  Sometimes you just need to think outside the box to create new elements.  This is the puzzle, not a chemistry textbook.  Not all the combinations seem logical to me, but I don't think this is a disadvantage.  Everything you need is to use your imagination and logic.  No bugs that I faced some time ago.
