cette application! has got rid of the addictive component of many apps, where your latest post disappears downwards by the push of newer posts, creating a social anxiety that can never be fulfilled.  And cette application! shifts the emphasis away from the accumulation of likes and friends, and into the activities (the tips) themselves.  cette application! is a stand-alone platform where your tips cannot be pasted out of the app, and we purposely do not seek your activity outside of the app.  We protect your social space by ensuring that you only connect as friends with people with whom you have shared interests - no more "friends" requests from random people.  In cette application! you can approach any topic, in any way you choose – we don’t put you, or your ideas, in a box.  Whenever we encounter something, interesting and that we want to remember – be it a gem of a shop, a striking building, a great piece of street art, a view… – we make a mental note of it, perhaps take a photo.  And then for each tip you choose whether to keep the tip private, share it with friends, or make it public (and you can change your mind at any time).  And because you primarily record things for yourself, you don’t have that “tingling noise” at the back of your head about what others will think of your post – you decide how much, when and who to share it with.  It is a slow social approach that leads to a more personal and authentic experience.  Our search and classification system – the pod – kickstarts an open and free-flowing experience of the app, and leads to the discovery of unexpected gems.  Here, your tips are always available with one tap to your phone: to remember the moment, easily find them with the geolocation, or to pass on to a friend.  How it works is that you make friends through the tips, rather than by the contacts on your phone.  We have created this app because we did not like the idea of our identity and our content being used to track our activity in the digital world.  See a full description of our approach to digital protection and privacy in the Profile section of the app.  This app is an easy way to note those things and keep them accessible.  But often with time we simply forget the detail, and they become just another pic in our camera roll.  You make a "tip" – a note with pictures, and maps as optional.
